Terms and Conditions

of the Kiteboarding Club (www.Kiteboarding-Club.com)

 

Cancellation

Booked services may be canceled via e-mail or telephone at the particular kite station. The following conditions apply for cancellations:

  1. up to 3 weeks before arrival: no charge.
  2. 21-8 days before arrival: 25% of the booked service
  3. between 7 days and 1 day before arrival: 50% of the booked service
  4. No-shows are charged 100%.

 

Registration and cancellation of the contract

A course participant must be in the best of health. He/she must be able to swim for at least 15 minutes without any support. The kite surf instructor may suspend a student from course, if he/she is behaving dangerously or disturbs the course. In this case the Kiteboarding Club won‘t refund any money.

Disclaimer

The Kiteboarding Club takes no responsibility for property damages or bodily injury of any kind. Also it doesn‘t take responsibility for theft, pilferage and non-delivery. This regulation also applies to the lockers and the guest storage.

Safety rules

The beneficiary of this contract has to adhere to all orders given by the staff of Kiteboarding Club. He/she has to follow the international right of way. Kite surfing is not permitted in the swimming area.
Every kite surfer has to keep a safe distance of at least 50 meters to others, especially to beginners. Jumping with a kite in a distance of 50m and less to the beach is prohibited.
The rescue boat operates only in deep water behind the reef, as the water inside the lagoon is too shallow.
It‘s not permitted to kite surf off site the security area with a radius of 1,5 km around the station.
Violating any of these rules will entitle the Kiteboarding Club to cancel this contract without refunding money.

Courses

Usually a kite surf lesson starts at the first booked day at 9 AM.If the practical part of the course can‘t take place because of too much (>25 kn) or too less (<12 kn) wind, the course will be rescheduled or replaced with a voucher with a similar value. The Kiteboarding Club is not obligated to refund the course fee, if a customer wants to quit the course due to personal reasons.

Rental

The renter is obliged to return any rental gear until 5:30 PM. If the renter is not sufficiently skilled to handle the rental gear, the KBC will refuse the rental. KBC is allowed to cancel the contract and to keep the rental fee. The renter is liable for any damages and loss and must bear the costs. He/ she has to report any damage when returning the gear. The KBC staff takes care of trim and safe condition of the rental gear regularly. However the renter is obliged to check the rental gear before every use thoroughly and communicate any defects immediately to KBC.

Vouchers
KBC vouchers can be used at KBC Hindeloopen, Brouwersdam, El Gouna, Ras Soma, Dakhla, Parajuru, Sicily, Tarifa, Portugal and Limnos for kite courses, individual training and equipment rental (with the appropriate level). For organisational reasons, it is not possible to make up individual course days. If the voucher is used at a KBC Centre other than the one that issued it, there may be differences in the price due to local conditions. The vouchers are non-transferable and can only be redeemed for bookings/pre-arranged appointments via www.KBC-World.com. It is valid for three years from the date of issue.

Severability clause

If any provision of these policies and regulations or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of these policies and regulations which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of these policies and regulations are severable.
