Become a certified VDWS Kite Instructor!

Is kitesurfing or wingfoiling your passion?
Are you open, communicative, and enjoy working with people? Do you love being outdoors and appreciate a flexible environment?
Then training to become a VDWS instructor is your chance to turn your hobby into a career—and a great start to becoming part of the KBC network. You
can also obtain your license for the first training level, "Water Sports Assistant," at many KBC centers.

Working at the kite center

You are the face of the station, because you are the first person our guests meet. You operate our booking system, organize the kite instructors and all on-site services, and are the first point of contact for our guests – in German, English, and other foreign languages if desired.

internship

As an intern, you will support us in organizational tasks, help with issuing and returning equipment, or lend a hand with work on the spot. You will be actively involved in all day-to-day business at the kite school, giving you an insight into all areas of work.

Kite & Wingfoil Instructor

You will independently lead all types of courses and events with up to 6 students and, if necessary, supervise your students after the courses and during activities on days with little wind. Even if you kite or wingfoil yourself, you are a role model and contact person on the water. You will take care of the training and rental equipment and help with all kinds of small tasks at the station.

At KBC, you will be working in a young team of passionate kitesurfers who love what they do. We are a community of water sports enthusiasts who are dedicated to sharing the joy of kitesurfing. We appreciate that we can turn our passion into our profession and be close to nature, the kite beach, and the wind.

Most of the KBC employees at KBC headquarters, as well as station managers and kite instructors at the centers, have been part of the Kiteboarding Club team for ten or more years.

Working where others go on vacation

At KBC, you work where others go on vacation. That's wonderful, but it can also be exhausting at times. The joy of successfully getting your students on the board, kitesurfing before and after your work as a kite instructor, which is also not neglected, and living right at the kite spot reward you every day.
In addition, you get very good conditions for your own new kitesurfing equipment. Your accommodation will be provided at most KBC centers. Please discuss the details in advance with the station manager.

You know that our guests only have a few weeks of vacation time each year, and you make sure that their time with us is unforgettable. Not yet a qualified kite instructor? Then we will be happy to accompany and support you in your training to become a VDWS water sports assistant or VDWS kite instructor. The KBC is the forge of kite instructor training – both interns and experienced kite instructors benefit from our many years of training experience. We offer you excellent development and career opportunities (from intern to kite instructor to station manager) and the chance to work in our international KBC network.
