Join us on a roughly 20-kilometer downwind trip to Dakhla’s famous “White Dune,” accompanied by 1–2 experienced guides.
In the lee of the dune, mirror-smooth water awaits you—perfect for speed records or jumps. Adventurous kitesurfers and wingfoilers dare to jump from the approximately 8-meter-high dune.
At the finish line, our four-wheel-drive pickup truck will be waiting to take us back to the center later.
This trip is suitable only for advanced kitesurfers and wingfoilers (minimum VDWS Level 5).
It takes place only during high tide and north wind, as the dune is otherwise not surrounded by water and the route becomes challenging.
Downwind Trip "White Dune"
Experience a spectacular 20-kilometer downwinder from the KBC Center to Dakhla’s famous White Dune, accompanied by 1–2 experienced guides.
The downwind tour takes about 2 hours. Once we arrive at the White Dune, we’ll kite there for about 30 minutes. The water behind the dune is fantastic and as smooth as glass.
The downwinder to the White Dune is only possible at high tide and with a north wind. Under other conditions, access is difficult and the dune is no longer surrounded by water. Due to the shallow water areas along the route, the rescue boat cannot accompany the group at all points.
A 4x4 pickup truck waits on site and takes us back to the center afterward. It also supplies us with water.
