Basic course
8 hours over 2-3 days, 2-6 people
This type of course is perfect for anyone with previous experience in water sports, snow sports or wind sports and/or for gifted fast-learning individuals.
For those who have limited to no previous experience or who simply want very thorough training, we recommend the Intensive Basic Course.
The Basic Course consists of 8 hours in a group, spanning over 2-3 days of lessons, depending on conditions. In order to practice the movements and to get a hang of the equipment, we allow plenty of practical training time over the second part of the course. Students will learn the essential elements of kitesurfingIn in groups of 2 to 6 people. In order to practice and to master the techniques, the second part of the course allows for plenty of practical training time. The aim of the course is to enable you to practice safely on your own after the course.
For safety reasons, in the basic course, two students share one kite.Students who progress faster can upgrade to (semi-)private training upon request.

If you want more practice time on the water in your course, we recommend the Intensive Basic Course. After the 12-hour Intensive Basic Course, usually you are ready to rent gear and continue to practice independently.
Intensive Basic Course
12 hours in 3-5 days, 2-6 people
This type of course is the right choice for anyone with little or no previous experience in water sports, snow sports or other wind sports, or who simply wants very thorough training with 4 extra hours compared to the Basic Course.
The Intensive Basic Course consists of 3-5 days with lessons, depending on conditions, with a total of 12 hours. In a group of 2 to 6 people, you will learn the essentiat elements of kitesurfing. In order to practice and to assimilate the techniques, the second part of the course allows for plenty of practical training time. The aim of the course is to enable you to exercise safely on your own after the course.
For safety reasons, in the basic course, two students share one kite. Students who progress faster can upgrade to (semi-)private training upon request.

No radio training
At KBC we are convinced of the training with a buddy-principle: In all beginner courses you share a kite with your partner ("buddy") and your teacher is always behind you. He gives you instructions, tips and corrections. He follows you, intervenes when needed and ensures your safety. The first steering exercises require a lot of concentration - you can relax when your buddy temporarily takes over the kite. From radio training (with a helmet with phone) we are absolutely not convinced, because it turned out in practice as rather prone to failure: the radio does not always work, the student can not understand the kite instructor often, the helmet squeezes etc..
Equipment insurance
Your kite equipment is insured during the course. However, as soon as you start training on your own, we recommend you take out insurance, e.g. the "Safety Tool" from the VDWS for only 39 euros per year. You can take out this on site - just let us know.
