When a child is ready to learn kitesurfing depends on the child's development and willingness. It requires a good ability to concentrate, a good body and balance feeling and of course the desire to learn kitesurfing. The child should be an accomplished swimmer. It should be able to stay afloat for 15 minutes without any problem. When these requirements are fulfilled depends entirely on the child. In exceptional cases, it can certainly already meet an 8-year-old child, otherwise rather 10-year-old. We would like to discuss this in advance by e-mail, on the phone or on site.

Training kids is not equal to training adults, but is fundamentally different in equipment, methodology and in the requirements of the kitespot:

Equipment
Children's kitesurfing lessons are done with special equipment, which is suitable for children: small, well-balanced kites, small bars and boards and a small, comfortable harness. The weight plays a role in the choice of material.

Methodology
Course contents and speed must be tailored to children and customized for the individual child. The instructor will consider the individual development (ability to concentrate, condition) of the child. This is shorter lessons and very visual learning models in the theoretical part. The practical part focuses on safety and fun: We train children exclusively in individual training to guarantee the maximum safety of our little kite student. The attention of the kite instructor is 100% with the child. The learning pace can thus be optimally adapted to the child, which promotes and extends the interest of the child and his ability to concentrate. The second, very important aspect in the practical part is the fun that must be conveyed. Only then will a joyful entry into the new sport succeed. Our experience prove that children learn very quickly, which through the safety and fun of the KBC course, becomes a sustainable learning success. The KBC teaching team is specially trained to train children.

Kitesurf spot: The kitesurfing conditions play a crucial role. The water should be pleasantly warm, because children usually freeze faster: In thick neoprene, the water temperatures should not be colder than 18 ° C, but like warmer. The surface should be sandy, loamy, never stones to avoid injury. The wind should be stable and never gusty. Wind forces of 11 to 16 knots are ideal. The water should be smooth with no waves.

You are an experienced kitesurfer. Now you want to learn all secrets about hydrofoil kitesurfing and finally hover silently over the water with a foilboard?

The learning of the appropriate driving technique is often a great challenge – even for experienced kitesurfer: From carrying the sports equipment with its razor-sharp edges, on the handling in the water, the water start or the correct board load ... Foilboarding has, based on the required technique, little to do with kitesurfing on a twintip or a directional. Coordinating rethinking is already required when it comes to the simple displacement drive with a foil board. In order to finally float half a meter above the water surface and drive the first turns, it requires a very sensitive feeling for the board load. To safe you from a big frustration after hours of independent practice without instructions and to prevent injury due to incorrect handling, we urgently recommend a private lesson with a specially trained KBC kitesurf instructor who introduces you safely with our F-One hydrofoil boards.
