Your VDWS license – Right Here at KBC
KBC El Gouna is an officially licensed VDWS kitesurfing and wingfoil school.
We train kite and wingfoil instructors according to VDWS guidelines, employ only licensed VDWS instructors, and teach according to official VDWS standards.
During your course, you can earn your VDWS license or advance your existing VDWS level to a higher one.
Here's how it works
If you'd like to take a VDWS exam, you'll receive a personal 10-digit access code at our center.
You can use this code to log in to the VDWS Academy:

Study and Exam
At the VDWS Academy, you'll have access to all learning materials as well as the theory exam.
As soon as you feel ready, you can take the theory exam directly online.
When you start the exam, you’ll need to enter the KBC school code:

After the exam
Once you have completed the theory exam, please let your instructor know. He or she will check your exam results online and then evaluate the practical portion of your exam. Upon successful completion, your corresponding VDWS level will be unlocked.
The VDWS license is a requirement for renting equipment at many centers worldwide. To rent equipment at KBC, you must hold a VDWS license with at least Level 3 for kitesurfing or Level 5 for wingfoiling. If you don’t have a license yet, you can take the exam here.

VDWS License
The Internationally Recognized Kitesurfing License
The VDWS license is an internationally recognized certification that attests to your kitesurfing skills. You can obtain the license at the station, either after completing the course or upon request. A theory exam will assess your knowledge of right-of-way rules and safety. During the practical portion, you’ll demonstrate your skills to your kite instructor and will then be graded between VDWS Levels 1 and 7.
VDWS Level Upgrade
You have already passed the VDWS license exam and would now like to have a new skill level recorded to certify your kitesurfing abilities. You can purchase your license upgrade at the station, either immediately after the course or upon request. You’ll show your kite instructor what you can do, and you’ll then be graded between VDWS Levels 1 and 7.
