2. you have had your first attempts at waterstarting and would like to develop this further.

Entry age
When a child is ready to learn kitesurfing depends on the child's development and readiness. What is required is a good ability to concentrate, a good sense of body and balance and, of course, the desire to learn kitesurfing. It is also a prerequisite that the child can swim very safely. They should be able to stay afloat for 15 minutes without any problems. When these requirements are met depends on the individual child. In exceptional cases, an 8-year-old child can certainly fulfil these requirements, otherwise it is more likely to be a 10-year-old. We are happy to discuss this in advance by e-mail, on the phone or on site.
The big difference
Kitesurfing lessons for children are not the same as kitesurfing lessons for adults, but differ fundamentally in the material, the methodology and the requirements of the area: Material Kitesurfing lessons for children are carried out with material that is especially suitable for children, i.e. small, balanced kites, small bars and small boards, small, comfortable harnesses. The weight plays a role in the choice of material.
Methodology
Likewise, the teaching model must be tailored to children in general, but also to the developmental stage (ability to concentrate, condition) of the child in particular. This means shorter teaching units and very visual learning models in the training theory. In the practical part, the focus is on safety and fun: we train children exclusively in individual lessons in order to guarantee the maximum safety of our little kite student. The kite instructor's attention is 100% on the child. The learning speed can thus be optimally adapted to the child, which promotes and prolongs the child's interest and ability to concentrate. The second, very important aspect in the practical part is the fun, which absolutely must be conveyed. This is the only way to ensure a joyful introduction to the new sport. Experience has shown that children learn very quickly, and the confidence and fun they have in the KBC course makes this a lasting learning success. The KBC teaching team is specially trained to teach children.
The kitesurf spot
The kitesurfing area plays a decisive role. The water should be pleasantly warm, because children usually freeze faster: in thick neoprene, the water temperature should not be colder than 18°C, but preferably warmer. The bottom should be sandy, loamy, never stones to avoid injuries. Winds of 11 to 16 knots are ideal. Our learning area at the Brouwersdam offers good conditions for children's training.
We train children exclusively in individual training to guarantee the maximum safety of our little kite student. Book the training for your child as an individual training:
Kids kitesurf course
6 hours kite course for children (from 10 years) on 3-4 days
The children's training begins with 3 hours of participation in the regular basic course (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday), including a short theory session, spot check, kite setup and packing, the 3-level safety system, and flying a trainer kite.
The water-based part of the course is conducted in 3 hours of one-on-one instruction for safety reasons – either in 1.5-hour or 1-hour sessions per day.
Learn foil kitesurfing
You are an experienced kitesurfer and now you want to learn all the secrets of foil kitesurfing and finally float silently over the water with the foil board yourself?
Learning the appropriate riding technique is often a great challenge even for old hands: from transporting the sports equipment with its razor-sharp edges on the wings, to handling it in the water, the water start or the right board load ... Foilboarding has little to do with kitesurfing on a Twintip or Directional in terms of the required technique. Rethinking your coordination is already required when it comes to the simple displacement ride with a foil board. In order to finally float away half a meter above the water surface and make the first turns, an extremely sensitive feeling for the board load is required. In order to avoid frustration and injury after hours of independent practice without instruction, we strongly recommend a private lesson with a specially trained KBC kite instructor, who will safely introduce you to the art of foil kitesurfing with our F-ONE Hydrofoilboards.
Learn Foilkitesurfing in private lessons with the individual training. Please indicate "Foilkitesurfing" in the comment field of your booking:
